The story

Lotus Rooms is a family business that has been active in tourism since the 1970s. The family’s founder, Yiannis Nourakis, a refugee from Asia Minor, began by creating a campsite at the same location where we are based today, with amenities such as electricity, water, and restrooms.

The area looked very different back then, with tall, dense trees and little to no development in the surrounding area, creating a beautiful, green space right by the sea.

In the 1990s, with urban planning changes in the area, the campsite was closed as the ownership form evolved into what we see today. Yiannis’ son, Athanasios Nourakis, built our first two-story building.

Ten years later, Athanasios’ son, Yiannis Nourakis, took over. As a worthy successor, he developed the bungalows and landscaped the surroundings, emphasizing greenery and trees to create a special space that offers comfort and tranquility, just 50 meters from the sea.

For the last 10 years, Yiannis’ children have been managing the property, guided by their father and working with digital media to further evolve the business to meet modern tourism needs.
